## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FLIGHT DESTINATION SHD.

PILOT DECIDED TO LAND AT BKW FOR FUEL AND RADAR INFORMATION.

JUST PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN AT BKW, PILOT OBSERVED A HELICOPTER TAKING OFF AND CROSSING THE RUNWAY. PILOT EXECUTED A GO AROUND ADDED MAX POWER AND RETRACTED THE LANDING GEAR TO ASSIST IN HIS CLIMB OUT.

AS PILOT WAS CLIMBING TO PATTERN A DECISION WAS MADE TO LINE UP DOWNWIND OF RUNWAY 18.

LANDING APPEAR NORMAL UNTIL TAIL SECTION STRUCK THE RUNWAY. AIRCRAFT SLID DOWN RUNWAY ON LOWER FUSELAGE. PILOT HAD FORGOTTEN TO EXTEND LANDING GEAR ON SECOND LANDING ATTEMPT.

COUNSELLING WAS PROVIDED TO PILOT FROM OPERATIONS INSPECTOR, REF. AR EA09202201066

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
