## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 16/2022, AT 1909 EDT, A TEXTRON AVIATION INC. 172S, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER AFTER LEVELING OFF AND DECREASING POWER FOR CRUISE AND LANDED OFF-AIRPORT IN A FIELD, WHILE ON A TRAINING FLIGHT. AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT DAMAGED AND THE PILOT AND FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR WERE UNINJURED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED EARLIER THE SAME DAY AT AUBURN UNIVERSITY REGIONAL AIRPORT, AUBURN, AL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
