## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT HAD COMPLETED SEVERAL PRACTICE APPROACHES AT LEXINGTON COUNTY AIRPORT (6J0) AND THEN PERFORMED A PRACTICE AUTOROTATION WITH THE THROTTLE IN THE IDLE POSITION. DURING THE TOUCH DOWN PHASE OF THE MANUEVER THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT SLIDE ON THE RUNWAY BUT CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP A FEW FEET FROM THE TOUCHDOWN POINT. THE PILOT FELT VIBRATIONS IN THE CONTROLS AND SHUT THE AIRCRAFT DOWN IN PLACE. POST ACCIDENT INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED DAMAGE TO THE ROTOR BLADES, TAIL BOOM AND THE TAIL ROTOR DRIVE SHAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA22LA337](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA22LA337), Jun 18, 2022: Bell 206B (N515TV), Pelion, SC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s improper landing flare during a practice autorotation.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
