## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FOLLOWING TOUCHDOWN, APPROXIMATELY 1000 FEET FROM THE RUNWAY 26 THRESHOLD, PILOT APPLIED BRAKES AND AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN. PILOT SHUT DOWN BOTH ENGINES AND FUEL AND RAISED THE FLAPS IN PREPARATION FOR IMPACT. UPON APPROACH TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY, PILOT VEERED THE AIRCRAFT TOWARDS THE LEFT, DOWN A 20-FOOT EMBANKMENT, AVOIDING DAMAGE TO AIRPORT LIGHTING AND INFRASTRUCTURE. SUBSEQUENT FAA INVESTIGATION FOUND BOTH BRAKE MASTER CYLINDERS DEPLETED OF HYDRAULIC FLUID ATTRIBUTED TO A LOOSE ELBOW ATTACHED TO THE LEFT SIDE MASTER CYLINDER BRAKE LINE. HYDRAULIC FLUID WAS FOUND COATING THE FLIGHT CONTROLS, CABLES, AND PULLEYS UNDER THE PILOT'S FLOOR PANEL AND SEEPING OUT OF THE WEEP HOLES ON THE AIRCRAFT BELLY. AIRCRAFT RECEIVED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE NOSE ASSEMBLY, LANDING GEAR, PROPELLERS, AND WINGS AS A RESULT OF THIS BRAKING SYSTEM FAILURE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
