## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) STATED THAT THE ANTICIPATED LANDING RUNWAY (13) WAS CHANGED DUE TO A WIND DIRECTION CHANGE. PIC WAS CLEARED TO AND LANDED STRAIGHT IN ON RUNWAY 31. UPON TOUCHDOWN, AIRCRAFT VEERED LEFT. PIC STATED THAT MAXIMUM RIGHT RUDDER WOULD NOT ARREST THE LEFT TURN. AIRCRAFT CONTINUED THROUGH A GROUND LOOP AND NOSED OVER ON ITS BACK CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE VERTICAL FIN AND UPPER FUSELAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR22LA222](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR22LA222), Jun 22, 2022: Cubcrafters CC11-160 (N161CC), Hailey, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control of the airplane during landing, which resulted in a ground loop.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
