## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 23, 2022 AT 1124 LOCAL TIME, AN AERONCA LB AIRCRAFT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, REGISTERED TO AND OPERATED BY A PRIVATE PILOT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE FOLLOWING A LOSS OF CONTROL DURING A PROP START. THE PILOT STATES THAT FOLLOWING THE SINGLE PERSON PROP START THE AIRCRAFT IMMEDIATELY STARTED TO MOVE BEFORE HE COULD GET IN AND TAKE POSITIVE CONTROL. THE PILOT MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO ENTER THE AIRCRAFT AND REGAIN CONTROL, BUT WAS UNABLE. THE AIRCRAFT STARTED A TURN AND CONTINUED TO CIRCLE ON THE RAMP UNTIL THE PROPELLER STRUCK A TAXIWAY MARKER. THE PILOT RECEIVED ONLY MINOR INJURIES DUE TO FALLING DURING THE ATTEMPT. NO OTHER AIRCRAFT WERE DAMAGED DURING THIS INCIDENT.

PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW THE PROPELLER TO BE BENT AND SCRATCHED ALONG WITH MINOR LOWER ENGINE COWL DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
