## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 24, 2022 AT APPROXIMATELY 1106 LOCAL, AIRCRAFT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^EXPERIENCED A HARD LANDING AT GILLESPIE COUNTY AIRPORT (T82) IN FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS. THE AIRCRAFT IS AN AMATEUR BUILT ON PHASE 1 FLIGHT-TESTING WITH A TOTAL TIME OF 36 HOURS. THE VFR FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM KESTREL AIRPARK (1T7) WHERE TWO TAKE OFFS AND LANDINGS WERE ACCOMPLISHED PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. THE FIRST SOLO FLIGHT WAS ACCOMPLISHED THE DAY PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. DURING THE LANDING ON RUNWAY L4, THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCE A FEW FEET AND SETTLED HARD CAUSING THE NOSE GEAR TO BEND BACKWARDS, AND THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE RUNWAY. THERE WAS ALSO MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LOWER SIDE OF THE FIBERGLASS COWLING. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON THE RIGHT EDGE OF THE RUNWAY. THE PRIVATE PILOT WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT AND RECEIVED NO INJURIES. THE WEATHER WAS VFR WITH 10 MILES VISIBILITY AND WINDS APP. 2 OR 3 KNOTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
