## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 6/28/2022, AT APROX 1245 LOCAL,^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, WAS FLYING FROM F86 TO MLU UNDER PART 91 OPERATIONS. UPON FINAL APPROACH TO MLU, PILOT IN COMMAND STATES THAT HE BECAME DISTRACTED WHILE SLOWING DOWN THE AIRCRAFT FOR FINAL APPROCACH TRAFFIC AND DID NOT PERFORM HIS NORMAL GUMPS CHECKS. PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS ALSO DISTRACTED BY THE NEW DYNON FUEL PANEL GAUGES INSTALLED IN THE COCKPIT. PILOT ADMITTED HE DID NOT PERFORM FINAL PRE LANDING CHECKLIST, AND DID NOT EXTEND LANDING GEAR, THUS CAUSING THE INCIDENT.

THE AIRCRAFT PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND FIRST AND CAME TO A STOP. THE AIRCRAFT GENTLY SETTLED ON THE RUNWAY SLIDING FOR ABOUT 500 FEET. PILOT IN COMMAND PULLED MIXTURE, TURNED OFF MAGNETOS AND SHUT OFF FUEL. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTEDTO PERSONNEL. MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO DAMAGE TO AIRPORT RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
