## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING PILOT INTERVIEW HE STATED THAT HE LANDED FASTER THAN USUAL DUE TO ANOTHER PLANE BEHIND HIM IN THE PATTERN. PILOT REPORTED THAT BRAKES FELT FIRM BUT HE WAS GETTING NO EFFECTIVE BRAKING ACTION. AIRCRAFT IMPACTED GUARD RAIL AT THE END OF THE RWY AND FLIPPED OVER GOING INTO A RAVINE, BRUSH AND VEGETATION SOFTENING THE IMPACT. AIRCRAFT ENDED UP UPSIDE DOWN. RV-7 HAS A FLIP UP CANOPY, PILOT WAS UNABLE TO EGRESS FROM AIRCRAFT UNTIL FOUND BY POLICE 5 HRS LATER. PILOT WAS EXTRACTED WITH MINOR INJURIES TO HIS HEAD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
