## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS BEING FLOWN IN AN AGRICULTURAL OPERATION DOING AERIAL SPRAYING. AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE GROUND SOUTH OF THE TARGET FIELD IN AN UNCULTIVATED FIELD. NO POST-CRASH FIRE, BUT HEAVY SMELL OF FUEL ON THE GROUND AND SOME SMELL OF SPRAY CHEMICALS NEAR THE AIRCAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR22FA239](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR22FA239), Jul 3, 2022: Air Tractor AT-602 (N602GH), Lind, WA, substantial damage, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot's exceedance of the airplane's critical angle of attack during a steep turn, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall at an altitude too low for recovery.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
