## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT PERFORMED A NORMAL LANDING ON SWI RUNWAY 16 AT THE POH RECOMENDED APPROACH AND LANDING SPEEDS OF AROUND 100 KTS OVER THE THRESHOLD, (FULL FLAPS) WITH AN UNEVENTFUL TOUCHDOWN. ON THE LANDING ROLL, AS THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED TO BELOW 60 TO 70 KTS AND BRAKING WAS APPLIED, THE PIC FELT THE LEFT WING LOWER ABNORMALLY, AND ATTEMPTED TO HOLD IT UP AS LONG AS HE COULD WITH OPPOSITE AILERON INPUT, TO NO AVAIL. THE AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, AS THE UNDERSIDE OF THE LEFT WINGTIP, LEFT AILERON AND LEFT FLAP CONTACTED THE RUNWAY. THE LEADING EDGE OF THE LEFT WING IMPACTED A RUNWAY EDGE LIGHT, BUT THE INTGRAL FUEL TANK WAS NOT RUPTURED. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN THE GRASSY MEDIAN BETWEEN TAXIWAYS C & D, POINTING 90 DEGREES TO THE LEFT OF THE LANDING DIRECTION. THE UNINJURED PILOT SECURED THE COCKPIT AND WITH THE UNINJURED SOLE PASSENGER, EVACUATED THE AIRCRAFT AND CALLED 911.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
