## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT RAN ENGINE UP TO FULL POWER WITH BRAKES HELD THEN RELEASE FOR TAKEOFF ROLL. 3100 FT GRASS STRIP WITH A TREELINE APPROX 50 FT OFF END OF RUNWAY. AT APPROX THE 1/3 MARK (100 FT) THE PILOT STATED HE "DIDN'T FEEL IT (SUFFICIENT LIFT)" AND PULLED THE THROTTLE BACK TO INITIATE A REJECTED TAKE-OFF. DAMP GRASS MADE BRAKING LESS THAN EFFECTIVE AND AIRCRAFT WENT THROUGH END OF RUNWAY AND IMPACTED TREES. NOSE GEAR SHEARED OFF, BOTH WINGS DAMAGED, FIREWALL TORN AWAY AT BOTTOM OF FUSELAGE AND FUSELAGE CRUMPLED AT INTERIOR BULKHEAD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN22LA307](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN22LA307), Jul 4, 2022: Piper PA-32RT-300T (N25RC), Frankston, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s delayed aborted takeoff that resulted in a runway overrun and impact with terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
