As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JULY 16, 2022, AT APPROXIMATELY 1400 LOCAL TIME A PILOT WAS FLYING A VICKERS-SLINGSBY GLIDER MODEL T-65A, AT BULTER MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (6A1), IN BULTER, GEORGIA. WHILE ON APPROACH FOR RUNWAY 19 AT APPROXIMATELY 250 ABOVE THE GROUND THE PILOT THOUGHT HE FAILED TO PUT THE CENTER LINE GEAR DOWN FOR LANDING AND REACH OVER AND PULLED THE GEAR HANDLE THINKING HE WAS PUTTING THE GEAR DOWN BUT INSTEAD PULLED THE GEAR UP.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA22LA367](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA22LA367), Jul 16, 2022: Vickers-Slingsby T65A (N157HH), Butler, GA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s retraction the landing gear just prior to touchdown on the runway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
