## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE PILOT IN COMMAND: FIRST ACTUAL TEST FLIGHT. FLIGHT WAS UNEVENTFUL AND FLEW FOR ABOUT 7-8 MINUTES. REMOTE PILOT FLEW IT VISUALLY WITHIN SIGHT. UNEVENTFUL BUT WHEN COMING IN TO LAND, AIRCRAFT WAS PROBABLY FASTER THAN IT NEEDED TO BE. AFTER TOUCHDOWN IT BOUNCED UP 3-4' OFF THE RUNWAY, SETTLED DOWN ONTO THE RUNWAY, WE BELIEVE THAT TRAILING LINK ON THE NOSE WHEEL BROKE AT THIS POINT WHICH CAUSED THE NOSE TO SETTLE. APPLIED BRAKES TO SLOW AIRCRAFT, AIRCRAFT TURNED LEFT ABOUT A 45 DEGREE TURN AND THEN STRAIGHTENED OUT. EXITED THE RUNWAY AND IMPACTED THE TAXIWAY GOLF SIGN. AIRPLANE SPUN, DAMAGED LEADING EDGE OF WING, AND BROKE MOUNT OF LEFT LANDING GEAR. NO FIRE, NO INJURY, NO OTHER DAMAGE. AIRPLANE WEIGHS ABOUT 95 LBS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
