## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JULY 25, 2022 AT APPROXIMATELY 0952 AN AIRMAN WAS FLYING A LIGHT SPORT AIRCRAFT (WEIGHT-SHIFT) ATTEMPTING TO LAND AT TOM B. DAVID FIELD (CZL) ON RUNWAY 17, IN CALHOUN, GEORGIA.

AIRMAN STATED HE GOT TOO SLOW JUST BEFORE TOUCHDOWN AND THE LEFT WING STALLED CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA22LA335](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA22LA335), Jul 25, 2022: Evolution Revolt (N199KS), Calhoun, GA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s exceedance of the airplane’s critical angle of attack during the landing flare, which resulted in a loss of directional control, a runway excursion, and substantial damage to the airplane.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
