## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED WHEN HE WAS ON FINAL TO MSY RUNWAY 29 HE PUT THE LANDING GEAR DOWN AND GOT A TRANSITION LIGHT THAT WOULD NOT EXTINGUISH. HE PERFORMED THE EMERGENCY EXTENSION CHECK LIST WITH NO HELP. AT THIS TIME HE INFORMED THE TOWER OF HIS SITUATION AND REQUESTED A VISUAL FROM THEM. THE TOWER SAID IT APPEARED THAT ALL THE LANDING GEAR WAS EXTENDED. SO HE ATTEMPTED TO LAND AND AFTER HE TOUCHED DOWN WHILE ROLLING OUT THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY INTO THE GRASS AND CAME TO A STOP.

## Other aircraft in the event

- NONE: no report for this aircraft in the release

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
