## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT OPERATING N132HD HELICOPTER WAS AERIAL SPRAYING A CORNFIELD LOCATED NEAR ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. AT APPROXIMATELY 1500 HOURS LOCAL, WHILE MAKING THE FIRST PASS OF THIS FIELD THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED A POWER LINE WITH THE TAIL ROTOR. EVIDENCE SHOWED THE POWER WIRE WRAPPED AROUND THE TAIL ROTOR SHAFT AND SEVERED THE TAIL ROTOR DRIVE SHAFT. THE HELICOPTER TAIL ROTOR FAILED AND THE AIRCRAFT STARTED SPINNING UNCONTROLLABLY TO THE RIGHT, THE PILOT REDUCED POWER AND THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED THE GROUND AND CAME TO REST ON ITS RIGHT SIDE. THE MAIN ROTOR AND BLADES SEPARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES.
