## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A ROUTINE FLIGHT THAT DEPARTED SAN BERNARDINO AIRPORT AND WAS ENROUTE TO CHINO HILLS THE PILOT BEGAN TO FEEL A VIBRATION THAT BECAME PROGRESSIVELY MORE SEVERE UNTIL IT BECAME DIFFICULT TO FLY THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT DECIDED TO MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING AT NEARBY CHINO AIRPORT. AFTER LANDING AN INSPECTION WAS CONDUCTED AT WHICH TIME ALL THREE MAIN ROTOR BLADES WERE SHOWING SIGNS OF SEVERE DELAMINATION SO IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE AIRCRAFT COULD NOT BE FLOWN BACK TO HOME BASE AT SAN BERNARDINO. THIS FORM MAY BE REVISED AS NEEDED AT A FUTURE DATE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR22LA291](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR22LA291), Aug 4, 2022: Airbus Helicopters AS350B3 (N833SB), Chino, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The subsequent delamination of the main rotor blades as a result of an unidentified main rotor blade impact with vegetation during a previous flight by another pilot.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
