## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING DEPARTURE AND CLIMB, THE PILOT NOTICED THE COPILOT DOOR AJAR. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DOOR WITH NO SUCCESS. THE PILOT FLEW THE NORMAL PATTERN PROCEDURE AT AN ALTITUDE OF 2000' MSL, TURNED CROSSWIND, AND THEN DOWNWIND RUNWAY 26 AT 2300' TO LAND SO HE COULD CLOSE THE DOOR. THE PILOT ARRIVED AT THE APPROACH END OF RUNWAY 26 AND THOUGHT HE HEARD THE STALL WARNING HORN. THE PILOT IMMEDIATELY LANDED THE AIRCRAFT TO AVOID A STALL. THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED AND THEN REBOUNDED WITH A SECOND BOUNCE. THE PILOT APPLIED FULL POWER IN AN ATTEMPT A GO-AROUND AND THE AIRCRAFT VEERED DRAMATICALLY TO THE LEFT AND EXITED THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A PAPI LIGHT AND SWERVED INTO A DITCH CAUSING IT TO PITCH UP AND THEN LAND NOSE DOWN. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE LANDING GEAR, FUSELAGE, WINGS, AND PROPELLER.
