## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED PDK FOR FLIGHT TO GVL. PILOT DID NOT LAND AT GVL AND DECIDED TO RETURN BACK TO PDK. WHILE DESCENDING TO LAND AT PDK, AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A BIRD STRIKE ON THE LEFT WING. NO LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS EXPERIENCE AND AIRCRAFT HAD AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING AT PDK. A POST INSPECTION OF AIRCRAFT REVEALED BLOOD SPATTER AND A SMALL CRACK (ABOVE 4 INCHES IN LENGTH) IN THE CARBON FIBER OF THE WING. NO INJURIES HAD OCCURRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
