## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON AUGUST 9, 2022, AT APPROXIMATELY 0740, AIRCRAFT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, A CIRRUS SR-20, ATTEMPTED TO LAND AT WINCHESTER REGIONAL AIRPORT (OKV) VA. IMMEDIATLEY ON LANDING, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AS THE AIRCRAFT NOSE SETTLED ON TO THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT MAINTAINED THE AIRCRAFT ON THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE UNTIL THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE RIGHT INTO THE GRASS. THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS LIMITED TO THE NOSE LANDING GEAR, PROPELLER, ENGINE, AND ENGINE COWLING. THE PILOT SUSTAINED NO INJURIES. NO PASSENGERS WERE ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT. AT THAT TIME THE FAA WAS NOTIFIED.

A CLOSER INSPECTION OF THE NOSE LANDING GEAR REVEALED THAT THE NOSE GEAR HAD SHEARED OFF.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
