PILOT STATEMENT:

"WAS HEADING BACK FROM KHQU TO KGMU WITH FLIGHT FOLLOWING. WAS TRANSFERRED OVER GREENVILLE TOWER ABOUT 20NM OUT. CONTACTED TOWER WITH INTENTIONS OF A FULL STOP, WAS INSTRUCTED TO ENTER RIGHT DOWNWIND RWY19 AND REPORT MIDFIELD. FLEW IN, REPORTED RIGHT MIDFIELD (1800FT) AND WAS CLEARED TO LAND. STARTED MY DESCENT A BEAM THE NUMBERS, KEPT DOWNWIND AT 90-80K ADDED 10 DEGREES FLAPS. TURNED BASE WITH AIRSPEED AT 80-75K WITH 500FPM DESCENT. THEN FINAL WITH 70-65K. CROSSED OVER THE NUMBERS AND WENT IDLE AND MAINTAINED LANDING AIRSPEED.

RIGHT WHEN I WENT INTO A FLARE, I FELT MY MAIN WHEELS TOUCH AND FELT A BIG BUMP FOLLOWED BY A BOUNCE. I TRIED TO ADD POWER TO CORRECT FOR BOUNCE AND CONTINUED TO PORPOISE. I NOTICED MY PROP STRIKE AND RUDDERS NOT WORKING SO I TRIED TO GET OFF OF THE RUNWAY. AIRPLANE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON RUNWAY 19.

AIRPORT CREW CAME OUT TO THE PLANE, TOWED IT OFF THE RUNWAY AND OVER TO SOUTHEAST RAMP."

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
