## Narrative

PILOT'S PROVIDED STATEMENT TO FAA:

STATEMENT OF EVENTS ON WEDNESDAY AUGUST 24, 2022 ? ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

AT APPROXIMATELY 8:50 PM I DEPARTED ROBERTSON AIRPORT (4B8) TO RETURN HOME USING ATC FLIGHT FOLLOWING. UPON ARRIVAL AT NEWPORT STATE AIRPORT I DECIDED TO PERFORM 3 TAKE OFFS AND FULL STOP LANDINGS IN ORDER TO REGAIN NIGHT CURRENCY. I ENTERED THE TRAFFIC PATTERN, LANDED ON RUNWAY 22 AND TAXIED BACK TO RUNWAY 22. I TOOK OFF, FLEW THE TRAFFIC PATTERN AND LANDED A SECOND TIME ON RUNWAY 22. AFTER TAXIING BACK TO RUNWAY 22 I DEPARTED A THIRD TIME, REMAINING IN THE PATTERN. ON FINAL APPROACH I LINED UP WITH THE CENTER LINE, MADE MY THIRD FLAP DEPLOYMENT TO 40 DEGREES, SLOWED TO 60 MPH AND PROCEEDED TO LAND WITHOUT DEPLOYING THE LANDING GEAR. THE LANDING WAS SMOOTH BUT RESULTED IN A PROP STRIKE ON THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
