## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THREE NAUTICAL MILES WEST OF N57, WHILE ON APPROACH TO RUNWAY 06, AT AN ALTITUDE OF 1500 FEET, A LARGE BIRD STRUCK THE UPPER SURFACE OF THE AIRCRAFT’S RIGHT WING. PILOT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. UPON INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT, INSPECTORS OBSERVED A DENT IN THE UPPER SURFACE OF THE WING, 31 INCHES FROM THE RIGHT WINGTIP AND 18 INCHES FROM LEADING EDGE. INTERNAL SURVEY OF THE WING REVEALED THE WING SPAR UPPER EDGE WAS BENT DOWNWARD, FOLLOWING THE CURVATURE OF THE DENT ON THE UPPER WING SURFACE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
