## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE IN CRUISE FLIGHT ENGINE SHUTTERED AND WAS NO LONGER MAKING FULL POWER. PILOT TURNED AIRCRAFT BACK TOWARDS AIRPORT AND AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO LOSE ALTITUDE. PILOT SWITCHED FUEL TANKS AND UTILIZED FUEL BOOST PUMP IN AN ATTEMPT TO REGAIN FULL ENGINE POWER. ENGINE MADE A LOUD NOISE AND CEASED TO RUN AT THAT POINT AND PROPELLER WAS NOT WIND MILLING. AN ATTEMPT TO LAND IN THE TUNDRA RESULTED IN THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPING OVER WHEN THE NOSE WHEEL CAUGHT IN THE TUSSOCKS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA22LA410](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA22LA410), Sep 9, 2022: Cessna U206 (N8019Z), Buckland, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The installation of incompatible rocker arms and rocker arm bushings during an engine overhaul, which resulted in a complete loss of engine power.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
