## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT, THE CREW LEFT FROM SRQ TO CHN TO PRACTICE LANDINGS AFTER DOING SOME MANEUVERS IN ROUTE. THE CREW LANDED AT CHN AND DID 3 FULL STOP TAXI BACKS AT THE AIRPORT. FINAL TAKEOFF FROM CHN, AFTER RETRACTING THE GEAR, THE NOSE GEAR LIGHT WAS ON AND THE GEAR WAS VISIBLE IN THE MIRROR MOUNTED ON THE LEFT ENGINE COWLING. PILOT LOWER THE GEAR AND LEFT THE GEAR DOWN ALL THE WAY BACK TO SRQ. UPON ARRIVING AT SRQ, PILOT ASKED THE CONTROL TOWER FOR A VISUAL LANDING GEAR POSITION CHECK. THE LANDING GEAR WAS VISUALLY CONFIRMED AS DOWN AND THE LAST LANDING OF THE DAY WAS COMPLETED AS NORMAL.

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19930519024089I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19930519024089I), May 19, 1993: Piper PA34200T (N2244B), New Iberia, LA, Minor damage. Nose gear collapsed on landing rollout.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
