## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS ON APPROACH INTO U42. ABOUT 2 MILES OUT THERE WAS A LOUDCRASHING SOUND, THEN THE RIGHT SIDE WINDSCREEN COLLAPSED INWARD. THE CFI WAS STRUCK ON THE FOREHEAD BY A PIECE OF THE WINDSCREEN. THE OTHER PILOT COMPLPETED THE LANDING WITHOUT INCIDENT. NEITHER PILOT SAW THE BIRD, THEY ONLY CONFIRMED ONCE ON THE GROUND.
