## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED ADS, DURING THE LANDING SEQUENCE AT PWG THE GEAR WAS EXTENDED AND NO HORN WAS NOTED BY PILOTS OR PASSENGERS. ABOUT THE TIME THE NOSE GEAR CAME DOWN, THE HORN WENT OFF AND THE GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT REMAINED ON THE RUNWAY, BUT EVENTUALLY WENT OFF THE RUNWAY. THIS WAS DUE TO THE RIGHT HAND MAIN GEAR COLLAPSING BEFORE THE L/H MAIN GEAR. AS A PASSENGER STATED, THE LANDING WAS GOOD UNTIL IT WASN’T.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN22LA434](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN22LA434), Sep 27, 2022: Cessna 550 (N409ST), McGregor, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The flight crew’s failure to ensure the landing gear was down which resulted in a gear up landing and subsequent runway excursion.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
