## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 9/28/2022 AT 1600 CDT, PILOT IN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, MOONEY M20KM AT BULVERDE AIRPORT (1T8) WAS ON RUNWAY 16. PILOT COMPLETED RUN UP CHECKLIST AND POWERED UP AIRSPEED TO 58 KNOTS BUT NEEDED 67 KIAS. PILOT ABORTED TAKEOFF, PULLED BACK THROTTLES AND STARTED BRAKING. WHEN HE CAME TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY, HE TURNED AIRCRAFT TO THE RIGHT AND RAN INTO THE CURB CAUSING THE PROP TO STRIKE THE GROUND AND THE NOSE GEAR TO COLLAPSE. PILOT STATED THE BRAKES ON THE MOONEY M20K ARE NOT THAT GOOD. HE RAN OUT OF RUNWAY AND WENT TOWARDS THE GRASS BUT, THE NOSE GEAR IMPACTED THE CEMENT CURB AT THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY, CAUSING THE NOSE GEAR TO POP OUT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
