## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATEMENT: I WAS LANDING AT 60R, NAVASOTA, ON RUNWAY 17 AND WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT OF THE AIRCRAFT. I APPROACHED AT A HIGHER THAN NORMAL SPEED WHICH LED TO A GROUND LOOP. THE AIRPLANE TOOK A PATH OFF THE RUNWAY ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE AIRPORT. IT CAME TO A REST ON AN EMBANKMENT WHERE I EXITED THE AIRCRAFT, UNHARMED WITH NO INJURIES. THERE WAS NO OTHER OBSERVED TRAFFIC IN THE AREA AND THE RUNWAY REMAINED OPEN.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN23LA011](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN23LA011), Oct 5, 2022: Cessna L-19E (N9019V), Navasota, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s loss of control while landing resulting in a runway excursion and ground loop.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
