## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

10/08/2022 COLLEGEDALE, TN AIRPORT (FGU) A CESSNA 140 HAD A NOSE OVER INCIDENT WHICH CAUSED A PROPELLER STRIKE AND SOME DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COWLING. UPON ARRIVAL TO FGU, THE PILOTS LANDED AND REFUELED AND TOOK OFF FOR MORE PATTERN WORK. THE PIC INDICATED HE WAS GIVING INSTRUCTION AND INDICATED THAT AFTER TWO CIRCUITS IN THE PATTERN, THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. UPON TURNING OFF THE RUNWAY ONTO THE FIRST TAXIWAY HE FELT THE TAIL LIFT OFF THE GROUND. HE TRIED TO USE CONTROLS TO GET THE TAIL DOWN, BUT EVERYTHING HAPPENED VERY QUICKLY AND THE AIRCRAFT ACTED LIKE A TEETER-TOTTER. THE STUDENT PILOT INDICATED THEY RECEIVED WEATHER FROM CHATTANOOGA (CHA) THAT WINDS WERE FROM 350, BUT AS THEY ARRIVED AT FGU, THEY COULD TELL FROM THE WINDSOCK THAT WINDS WERE FAVORING RUNWAY 3, WHERE THEY EVENTUALLY LANDED. THERE IS NO WEATHER REPORTED FOR FGU. BOTH PILOTS INDICATED WINDS WERE APPROXIMATELY 10 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO 15 KNOTS. WEATHER DATA COLLECTED FOR THAT DAY INDICATE WIND WAS APPROXIMATELY 10 KNOTS, AND GUSTS THAT DAY WERE BETWEEN 15-20 KNOTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
