## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED HE OBTAINED WEATHER FORECASTS THAT INDICATED WINDS OF 3-4 KNOTS. UPON LANDING ATTEMPT WINDS WERE 6-7 KNOTS. BOUCHER STATED PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING LANDING HE HAD DRAGGED THE BASKET THROUGH TREES TO SLOW THE BALLOON DOWN. MOORING LINES WERE THROWN TO HIS GROUND CREW. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^STATED THE DESCENT WAS NOT FAST ENOUGH AND THE WIND WAS BLOWING HIM TOWARDS A HOUSE. HE CALLED FOR THE CREW TO RELEASE THE LINES. AS HE FIRED THE BURNER THE CREW STILL HELD THE LINES AND A CREWMEBER WAS DRAGGED DOWN THE STREET.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED HE STRUCK THE HOUSE ROOF AND CHIMNEY AND THEN MADE A CLIMB. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT HE MADE A "DRAG" LANDING AT A NEARBY GOLF COURSE IN WHICH THE BASKET TIPPED OVER AND DRAGGED ON THE GROUND DUE TO WIND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
