## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NORMAL LANDING OF CIRRUS SR-22T^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ON RWY 14, RAPID CITY REGIONAL AIRPORT. LIGHT WINDS, PILOT TOUCHED DOWN ON MAIN GEAR BELOW 80 KNOTS ON CENTERLINE AND LOWERED NOSE GEAR ON ROLL OUT AND FELT AN IMMEDIATE "SHIMMY". WHILE THE AIRCRAFT WAS DECELERATING THE NOSE LANDING GEAR LEG FAILED CLOSE TO THE FUSELAGE ATTACH POINT ON THE MOTOR MOUNT. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED LESS THAN 15FT. FROM CENTERLINE. IIC SUSPECTS STRUTURAL FAILURE OF THIS PART.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
