## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT OF AIRCRAFT, LANCAIR 360, MADE A HARD LANDING AT WHITEMAN AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED AND ULTIMATELY SKIDDED DOWN THE RUNWAY HITTING A RUNWAY LIGHT AND VEERING OFF THE RUNWAY COMING TO REST IN THE DIRT. THE INITIAL IMPACT CAUSED THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR TO BREAK ABOVE THE AXLE. THE SECONDARY BOUNCE LANDING RESULTED IN THE NOSE GEAR SEPARATION AT THE STRUT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
