## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 27, 2022 APPROXIMATELY 2 PM, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TURNING A 5 MILE FINAL TO RUNWAY 07 THE AIRCRAFT TOOK A BIRD STRIKE TO THE LEFT SIDE COCKPIT AND INGESTED INTO THE LEFT NUMBER 1 ENGINE. THE CREW EXPERIENCED A LOUD BANG FOLLOWED BY A VIBRATION. THE PIC REDUCED POWER ON THE NUMBER 1 ENGINE, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND CONTINUED TO A NORMAL LANDING WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. EXITING THE RUNWAY, THE PIC SHUT DOWN THE NUMBER 1 ENGINE. THERE WAS NO INJURIES AND NO AIRFRAME DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
