## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOTS APPROACH WAS ON THE RUNWAY CENTER LINE. BECAUSE OF A CROSSWIND GUSTS THE APPROACH WAS AT A SLIGHT CRAB USING THE LEFT RUDDER TO COUNTERACT THE CROSSWIND COMING FROM THE LEFT. AS THE PILOT TOUCHED DOWN THE AIRCRAFT PULLED TO THE LEFT CAUSING IT TO EXIT THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT PUSHED THE RIGHT RUDDER TO CORRECT AND TURN THE NOSE WHEEL TO THE RIGHT. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO GET THE AIRCRAFT BACK ONTO THE RUNWAY AND TAXI TO HIS HANGER WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
