## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT HE PREFLIGHTED, STARTED, AND TAXIIED THE AIRCRAFT TO THE TAKEOFF POSITION NORMALLY. HE REMEMBERED GETTING TAKEOFF CLEARANCE, BUT THEN REMEMBERED NOTHING ELSE UNTIL HE AWOKE IN AN AMBULANCE. WITNESSES STATED THAT THE PILOT DID NOT READ BACK THE TAKEOFF CLEARANCE, BUT APPEARED TO APPLY FULL POWER. THE AIRCRAFT EXITED THE RUNWAY AND CROSSED AIRPORT PROPERTY, STRIKING AND COMING TO REST AT THE AIRPORT PERIMETER FENCE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN23LA041](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN23LA041), Nov 20, 2022: Piper PA-28-140 (N267PC), Saint Joseph, MO, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot lost control of the airplane while on the ground due to temporary incapacitation.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
