## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON DECEMBER 2, 2022, AIRCRAFT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LANDED ON RWY 22 AT ORANGE COUNTY AIRPORT, MOTGOMERY, NY AND VEERED OFF TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY INTO THE GRASS, CAUSING THE LANDING GEAR TO BREAK OFF BEFORE COMING TO A STOP. ONE PERSON WAS ONBOARD THE AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

PILOT STATED IN HIS REPORT " I FLEW THIS PROFICIENCY FLIGHT BECAUSE I HAD VERY LOW TIME IN THIS PARTICULAR AIRCRAFT. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT MY LACK OF FAMILIARITY WITH THIS PARTICULAR AIRCRAFT MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE INCIDENT."

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
