## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ASI JDR AND OJT TRAINER LOK MET WITH THE AIRMEN IN PERSON. AIRMEN PROVIDED A RECAP OF THE INCIDENT. PILOT WAS TALKING WITH ATC WHILE ON THE UPWIND/CROSSWIND LEG OF THE PATTERN. ATC WAS CONFIRMING THE PILOT WANTED TO STAY IN THE PATTERN FOR A FULL STOP LANDING. THE PATTERN WAS ON THE SHORTER RUNWAY AT KYIP, RESULTING IN A QUICKER DOWNWIND LEG. THE PILOT WAS RUSHED ON THE DOWNWIND LEG DUE TO CONFIRMING INTENTIONS OVER THE RADIO. WHEN THE PILOT CONFIGURED FOR LANDING WHILE ABEAM THE THOUSAND FOOT MARKERS, HE FAILED TO LOWER THE GEAR. ON FINAL THE AIRSPEED WAS "AS NORMAL" AS IF THE GEAR AND FLAPS WERE PROPERLY CONFIGURED. DUE TO THE FASTER PATTERN, THE PILOT DID NOT HAVE TIME TO CONFIRM THE CONFIGURATION WITH A CHECKLIST WHICH RESULTED IN THE GEAR UP LANDING. RCA DETERMINED TO BE C1-ABILITY TO COPE. THE PILOTS INABILITY TO COPE WITH THE FASTER PATTERN WHILE COMMUNICATING WITH ATC RESULTED IN THE GEAR UP INCIDENT. DUE TO THE PILOTS UPCOMING TRAINING FOR COMPANY AIRCRAFT AND THE PILOTS COMPLETION OF FAASAFETY WINGS COURSES FOLLOWING THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
