## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS CONDUCTING A TOUCH AND GO ON RUNWAY 34L AT HEF. AFTER LANDING THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO RETRACT THE FLAPS FOR TAKE-OFF WHEN THE AIRPLANE BECAME UNSTABLE AND VEERED LEFT TOWARDS THE GRASS. THE PILOT ADDED ABRUPT RIGHT RUDDER WHILE ALSO APPLYING THE BRAKES, AND THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO SKID SIDEWAYS TOWARDS THE GRASS. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR ENTERED THE GRASS AND THE ADDED FRICTION OF THE GRASS COMBINED WITH THE BRAKES AND CONTINUED RIGHT RUDDER INPUT CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO TIP TO THE LEFT AND STRIKE THE LEFT WING AND PROPELLER ON THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT EVENTUALLY CAME TO A STOP WHILE UPRIGHT. THE WINGTIP DAMAGE WAS MINOR AND THERE WERE NO INURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
