## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THE GEAR WAS DOWN BEFORE ENTERING PATTERN BEHIND ANOTHER AIRCRAFT AND HE HEARD THE GEAR DOWN “THUMP”. HE LOOKED IN THE MIRROR BECAUSE THE GREEN LIGHT WAS NOT ON AND THE WARNING HORN WAS SOUNDING. AT MIDFIELD THE GEAR WARNING HORN WAS STILL SOUNDING AND HE WAS TOLD BY ATC TO MAKE A RIGHT 180 TO ENTER THE RIGHT DOWN WIND. SINCE THE GEAR WARNING HORN WAS SOUNDING, AND THE YELLOW LIGHT WAS ON, HE DECIDED TO CYCLE THE GEAR. HE HEARD NO THUMP FROM THE GEAR ENTERING THE DOWN POSITION. HE DID NOT REMEMBER IF HE CHECKED THE MIRROR AGAIN. THE HORN SOUNDED CONTINUALLY AND HE LANDED WITHOUT TROUBLE SHOOTING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
