## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT INITIALLY TOOK OFF FROM KTTA.

PILOT, DURING LANDING AT KSOP, WENT TO PUT LANDING GEAR DOWN, HOWEVER THE LANDING GEAR MOTOR CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED AND THE PILOT SMELLED ELECTRICAL SMOKE.

PILOT BEGAN EMERGENCY PROCEDURES AND ATTEMPTED TO DEPLOY GEAR USING MANUAL GEAR CRANK, BUT MANUAL CRANK WAS IMMOBILE. PILOT THEN FLEW TO KTTA AND SPOKE WITH SEVERAL GROUND PERSONNEL BUT AGAIN COULD NOT GET GEAR DOWN. PILOT'S WIFE ATTEMPTED TO GET GEAR DOWN, BUT LANDING GEAR MANUAL CRANK BROKE OFF.

AS KPGV HAS A LONG RUNWAY AND EMERGENCY FACILITIES, PILOT ELECTED THAT AIRPORT AS LANDING PLACE WHERE HE WOULD PERFORM A GEAR UP LANDING AND PERFORMED EMERGENCY LANDING CHECKLIST.

PILOT PERFORMED GEAR UP LANDING AT PGV. NO INJURIES IN THE AIRCRAFT OR ON THE GROUND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
