## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON DECEMBER 29, 2022, A BEECHCRAFT B300 DEPARTED FIREBAUGH AIRPORT (F34). THE PILOT WAS EXPERIENCING GUSTY WINDS AND LIGHT RAIN. THE PILOT USED APPROACH FLAPS FOR TAKE-OFF TO AVOID STANDING WATER ON THE RUNWAY. THE FLAPS THEN FAILED TO RETRACT AFTER TAKEOFF AND 5 MINUTES INTO THE FLIGHT THE PILOT EXPERIENCED THE AIRCRAFT ROLLING. THE PILOT NOTIFIED ATC, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDING AT VISALIA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED BUT THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
