## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^HAD JUST PARKED AT GATE 4 AT THE MONTGOMERY REGIONAL AIRPORT. THE RECIEVING GROUND CREW MEMBERS WERE BRIEFED THAT THE AIRCRAFTS LEFT ENGINE WOULD REMAIN RUNNING UNTIL THE JETWAY GROUND POWER UNIT WAS INSTALLED TO THE AIRCRAFT AND TO REMAIN AT THIER ASSIGNED POSITIONS UNTIL THE AIRCRAFT WAS SHUT DOWN. A GROUND CREW MEMBER, ASSIGNED AS THE LEFT WING WALKER, AFTER THE AIRCRAFT WAS PARKED, LEFT THEIR POSITION AND WALKED TO THE TAIL SECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT TO PLACE A CONE. IN DOING SO, THE GROUND CREW MEMBER WAS PUSHED BY THE RUNNING LEFT ENGINE'S EXHAUST. AFTER PLACING THE CONE, THE GROUND CREW MEMBER WALKED BACK TO THE LEFT WING TIP, PASSED IT AND BEGAN TO WALK IN FRONT OF THE LEFT WING AND EVENTUALLY WITHIN 8 FEET OF THE RUNNING LEFT ENGINE'S INTAKE. AS A RESULT, THE GROUND CREW MEMBER WAS INGESTED INTO THE ENGINE'S INTAKE AND RECIEVED FATAL INJURIES.
