## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 1/9/2023 THE AIRCRAFT ACCORDING TO THE PIC HAD COMPLETED A TOUCH & GO ON PK LAKE, APPROX. TIME 1320 CST. DURING CLIMB, DAY-VFR/CLEAR, WIND 5/10 SW, TEMPERATURE APPROX. 75 DEGREES, ALTITUDE APPROX. 500 FEET AGL THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED LOSS OF POWER AND BEGAN LOSING ALTITUDE. ACCORDING TO THE PIC, HE CHOOSE TO LAND, ON WHAT APPEARED TO BE DRY BARREN EXTENSION OF THE NORTH SHORELINE OF PK LAKE. THE PILOT STATED “ENGINE NOT PRODUCING POWER, PUT GEAR DOWN, FULL THROTTLED, MIX FULL RICH-TO THE DASH. BOTH REAR FLOAT/GEAR TOUCHED THEN ONCE NOSE FLOAT/GEAR TOUCHED, THE AIRCRAFT DUG IN AND NOSED INTO MUCK AND SILT. NO TAIL STRIKE, WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT, RELEASED SAFETY RESTRAINT AND LIFE VEST, NOT INJURED AND WAS ABLE TO EXIT FROM THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO PROBLEM”.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
