## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON TAKEOFF ROLL, THE PILOT OBSERVED THE FORWARD UPPER ENGINE COWLING LIFT UP ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND REMAIN HELD ON THE LEFT SIDE. ABORTING THE TAKEOFF, THE PROPELLER WAS BRIEFLY PUT INTO REVERSE PITCH. THE COWL MADE LIMITED CONTACT WITH THE PROPELLER CAUSING DAMAGE TO BOTH. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD VERIFIED ALL ENGINE COWLING LATCHES WERE APPROPRIATELY LATCHED ON PREFLIGHT.

Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
