## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS TAXIING AIRCRAFT TO PARKING IN FRONT OF FBO. BRAKING WAS INSUFFICIENT TO STOP AIRCRAFT. AIRCRAFT CONTINUED FORWARD MOTION AS PILOT MISMANAGED POWER/PROP CONTROLS. AIRCRAFT TRAVELLED APPROXIMATELY 170 FEET FROM INTENDED PARKING TO IMPACT WITH HANGAR STRUCTURE. BRAKES WERE INSPECTED AND MASTER CYLINDERS WERE FOUND TO BE EMPTY OF FLUID. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO LEFT WING AND BOTH PROPS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN23LA103](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN23LA103), Feb 6, 2023: Cessna 425 (N425Z), Bismarck, ND, substantial damage. Probable cause: A loss of braking due to inadequate servicing of brake fluid by the pilot/mechanic, which resulted in a loss of airplane control on the ground.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
