## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT ABOUT 16:48 CST YESTERDAY 10 FEBRUARY 2023 THE PILOT WAS LANDING A PIPER MERIDIAN N917DB AT RUNWAY 34 AT LINCOLN COUNTY AIRPORT (Y14), SOUTH DAKOTA. FLIGHT WAS FROM BOI TO Y14.

THE PILOT RECALLED THE METAR AT FSD REPORTING WINDS 334 AT 24 KNOTS (9 MILES TO THE NORTH). ON FINAL THE PILOT NOTICED THE GUSTS WITH INDICATED AIR SPEED INCREASING/DECREASING FROM THE 85 KNOTS THAT THE PILOT WAS USING ON SHORT FINAL.

UPON TOUCH DOWN THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT WHICH THE PILOT STATED HE CORRECTED FOR BUT THEN THE AIRCRAFT YAWED TO THE LEFT AND WENT INTO THE SNOW BANK ON THE WEST EDGE OF RUNWAY 34.

IT IS ESTIMATED THAT THE NOSE GEAR AND STARBOARD MAIN GEAR WENT INTO THE SNOW BANK AND THE PORT MAIN GEAR SLIGHTLY INTO THE SNOW BANK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
