## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

I HAD A SOLO FLIGHT RESERVATION FROM 3-5PM ON 02/13. I FINISHED MY PREFLIGHT AND STARTED THE ENGINE AT AROUND 3:30PM. DEPARTED KDAB AND FLEW TOWARDS ASHBY PRACTICE AREA TO PRACTICE ONE GROUND REFERENCE MANEUVER. THEN FLEW TO X50 TO PRACTICE SHORT-FIELD & SOFT-FIELD LANDINGS. DEPARTED X50 AT AROUND 4:40PM AND LANDED AT KDAB ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATER. THE LANDING AT KDAB (RUNWAY 25L) WAS A NORMAL LANDING, NOT VERY HARD BUT DEFINITELY A LITTLE FLAT DUE TO THE SUN MAKING IT HARD TO LOOK IN-FRONT FOR A PROPER FLARE. AFTER TOUCHDOWN I ATTEMPTED TO CLEAR THE RUNWAY BY MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO TAXIWAY WHISKEY. I BELIEVE THAT I MAY HAVE OVERUSED THE BRAKES TO MAKE THE TURN WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED THE LEFT MAIN TIRE TO BLOW UP. FORTUNATELY I WAS ABLE TO CLEAR THE RUNWAY AND CONTACT GROUND TO LET THEM KNOW. I WAS ALLOWED TO SHUTDOWN THE ENGINE AND DAYTONA OPS CAME IN A PICK-UP TRUCK TO PICK ME UP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
