## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FEBRUARY 17, 2023, AT APPROXIMATELY 1900, A CESSNA C414 AIRCRAFT BEARING REGISTRATION NUMBER ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ REGISTERED TO A PRIVATE OWNER, ENCOUNTERED A BIRD STRIKE WHILE ON A ONE MILE FINAL AT LUBBOCK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LBB). THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING OPERATED ON A PRIVATE FLIGHT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, AND AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE, AND THE PILOT SUSTAINED NO INJURIES. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM CLOVIS, NM (CVN) ON FEBRUARY 17, 2023.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
